Why Boquerón ?

Because of its location – it is as distant from the major metropolitan hub of San Juan as one can be and yet still be on the island -- it is an area that has been relatively ignored by larger environmental groups.  Yet – and perhaps because of this -- it is an area that is rich in environmental sites and lessons -- both historical and contemporary lessons about the environment. 

We also have access to a property in Boqueron where BEC activities can be based, which is shown above.
